We recently had the privilege of working on one of the most visible public buildings in Rockledge - the Public Safety Headquarters. This was a full exterior restoration job, and it was one we took seriously from start to finish. A building like this represents the entire community, so the bar was high.
The main scope of work centered on two large TPO roofs that had accumulated heavy organic growth over time. Algae, mold, black streaks - the kind of buildup that Florida's humidity practically guarantees if a roof isn't treated regularly. TPO membrane roofs are designed to be bright and reflective, but that only works when the surface is actually clean. Pressure washing is off the table for TPO - it can compromise the membrane seams. So we used a specialized soft-wash process, which applies a low-pressure biodegradable treatment that kills the biological growth at the root level and lets it rinse clean without any risk to the roof.
The before and after on those roofs is stark. What was covered in green and black growth came back to a clean, bright white membrane. That reflective surface matters - it directly affects how much heat the building absorbs, which has real implications for energy costs over time. Getting that surface clean again wasn't just cosmetic.
Once the roofs were done, we moved to a full exterior window cleaning across the entire building. After a roof wash, overspray and runoff can leave residue on the glass below - so this step isn't optional if you want a true top-to-bottom result. Every window got cleaned, leaving the whole building looking sharp and well-maintained.
The Rockledge Police Department and the community they serve deserve a facility that looks the part. We're glad we got to be part of making that happen. This is the kind of work we do every day across Brevard County - commercial buildings, public facilities, and everything in between.
